Yankee Candle to open inaugural Australian store in Perth
less than one year after yankee candle launched into the australian gift and homewares market, the company has announced plans for an inaugural store due to open on february 25 and unveiled an extensive new product range at the sydney home & giving fair.
distributed in australia and new zealand by yc distribution, yankee candle will open its first australian store later this week at westfield whitford city shopping centre in perth.

“from the moment you enter a store, your senses will be amazed by the huge collection of true to life, long lasting fragrances. we use high volumes of natural ingredients such as fruits, flowers and spices, so you’re sure to find something you love.”
yankee candle made its australian debut in august 2010 and since then has garnered 50 stockists across the country with recommended retail prices starting at $4.95 for a votive candle and ranging up to $19.99 for an iconic housewarmer small jar candle.
yankee candle products are sold in more than 18,000 stores across the us, over 22 countries in europe and more than 3,000 locations in the uk.
released at the home & giving fair this week, the company is set to extend its range to include flavoured lip balms in the iconic yankee candle housewarmer jar design.
flavours will include vanilla lime, sweet strawberry and scrumptious buttercream to name just a few and the new merchandise is due to arrive in-store in march.
a collection to commemorate the british royal wedding of prince william and his fiancée kate middleton is also in the pipeline and due to launch soon alongside other new products including cleansing gels and a new line of scented candles.
