Millennials are on their way to become the most essential spenders in the market, presenting a great opportunity for brands such as William Valentine Collection.
Exhibiting at the recent Reed Gift Fairs Melbourne, a lot of very excited retailers were able to see basically 2,5 years of new products that they had only seen online, says director Ben Halls.
“It has been a fantastic show overall, we’ve seen a ton of foot traffic from day one,” he enthuses.
“Saturday was the strongest, you had everyone at the front door from 9am, but overall, each day we’ve had very consistent foot traffic.
“We are doing a lot more in the novelty millennial oriented toys and gifts section and we have diversified into many new categories, so that has spurred on new customers as well.”
Indeed, since the last show two and half years ago the company has brought on eight new brands including Gift Republic, which is William Valentine Collection’s core brand and has done really well.
“They do a lot of really fun trivia kits, millennial orientated party games, bath bombs, all sorts of plant pot accessories, just really fun gear that gives you a good giggle and makes you laugh.”
