Launched two weeks before the gift fair, the new Ravello bedding range was on display at the show for buyers to see, feel and touch first-hand.
Crafted from the highest quality French Flax linen that is prewashed and aero finished for a luxuriously soft, relaxed feel, the collection gathered a lot of interest from buyers and stylists.
“It was a really good show with a diverse number of customers coming through,” says Weave’s Yolanda Martyszus.
“Everyone is really interested in the bedlinen and it has had a really great reaction so far.”
Interestingly, a lot of customers are not aware that Weave is a division of textiles wholesale supplier Warwick Fabrics, adds Martyszus, so the fair has been great for brand recognition.
“Everyone already has a great relationship with the company [Warwick]. It’s good to have everyone visit the stand and see all of the finished goods versus the wholesale fabric side of things.
“We definitely saw a lot of new customers come through. The finished goods division allows you to tap into the stylist market, which traditionally wouldn’t use fabric from Warwick, so that has been really interesting.”
Natural fibres and earthy tones were the most popular with buyers. “All the displays we had set up have been really well received as they show the whole look, which is what the buyers want so they don’t have to put too much thought into it. They can just get the whole set.
“However, everything works back with collections previously released, so you don’t have to fully update everything, you can just add a few pieces if you want,” she says.
