Vintage trend inspires new notebook collection
lavida trading has unveiled its latest notebook and diary range inspired by classic design qualities of times past.
three designs are available; elegant paper print, bright paisley leather and medallion leather.
the new look products are an extension of one of lavida’s past ranges.
“leather gains character and style with every bit of wear and tear so for notebooks and diaries it has a feel that it will last forever – like those wonderful images of old dusty leather notebooks being found in attics and basements, still intact – which means everything that was written inside them is protected and thus makes you and what you write feel more valuable,” says owner colin murdoch. “the addition of the rich bold colours to the new leather range brings a modern twist to a timeless classic.
“in the previous ranges there were collage print designs, again in that vintage artwork theme, which is so popular at the moment. the vintage style is in demand because it reflects elegance and high quality and it has actually been proven that during times of austerity we seek the comfort and familiarity of objects from our past.
“in this fast-paced digital world, vintage is a design ascetic that is very relaxed, very informal and laidback and creates a sense of comfort by going back to our roots.”
murdoch expects the new collection will be attractive to consumers.
“there is a strong market for these styles of notebooks and diaries as they are well priced with interesting designs and are also very well made,” he adds.
