Adelaide-based wholesaler Villa Mondo has shown a new range of classic wine accessories to retailers for the first time at the Sydney Reed Gift Fair, which kicked off over the weekend.
Vinus Wine Accessories from Vinus Technology is made up of eight core products including a stainless steel wine saver pump, reversible and adjustable wine coolers and glass markers.
The brand fills a gap in Villa Mondo’s portfolio for a high quality medium priced product. It means the wholesaler can offer a variety of brands to suit all price points.
“Vinus has sourced stock that is already made from other manufacturers or they’ve made it themselves,” says Wendy Fry, Villa Mondo owner. “It’s a combination of good pieces and most importantly its really competitively priced, high quality and good prices.
“The view is when good products come along that should be included in the range Vinus will add those so we start off with a core range.”
Mostly unseen to retail trade until now, Villa Mondo has a special offer for those interested in buying it during its launch at the fair. A starter pack with the key items will have a 25 per cent discount on those items individually.
Fry is excited about the launch and hopes retailers will respond well to the range because of its striking look and classic nature.
“No one really knows much about it except we did a pre-fair showing in Adelaide for some of our customers who weren’t attending the gift fair or were running short on time and we had really positive interest and we had almost nothing [ready at the time] to show.”
