Urbio creates buzz at homewares show
Recently launched wall solution Urbio is quickly becoming the go to product for indoor vertical gardening and home organisation.
The device is a collaboration between industrial designers Beau Oyler and Jared Aller.
Oyler says the main reason for exhibiting at the International Home and Housewares show in Chicago was to garner interest for their product and look for partnerships.
“We got quite a bit of interest from Europe, especially the UK, Australia and South America,” he says.
“We met with about three to four Australian distributors so we definitely achieved what we came here for.”
The Urbio system is comprised of light weight, durable vessels made from partially recycled polypropylene plastic with very strong neodymium magnets hidden in the back, so you can customise your own wall solution.
Oyler says it has had quite a bit of publicity since its launch nine months ago.
“Urbio has been featured in several magazines including GQ, InStyle, InTouch and Elle. It has also been showcased on the Nate Berkus show, Rachael Ray show and on the hit ABC inventors show, Shark Tank.”
As designers Oyler and Aller have created lifestyle products for companies such as Williams-Sonoma, Nestlé, Netgear and Clorox.
Urbio is currently available in Australia from top3 by design.
