Three collaborations at once for Made by White
jewellery brand made by white is collaborating with three of its favourite designers to create its latest pieces after years of designing in house.
sisters lyndsay and kelly teamed up with lauren carney, mel stringer and peppermint daydreams for the unique ranges of brooches and necklaces.
according to the duo it was easy to decide who to work with.
“most of the people we decided to approach are people we have always admired, met before, bought things from before or good friends we have always wanted to make jewellery with,” says lyndsay.
“when looking for new designers we looked at the style of their work and also chose people we thought would work well for the made by white customer. sharing similar ideas and interests in their work helps because it means their idea will translate easily into jewellery too.”
the designers were told to make anything they wanted and all three came up with something unique that fit both their personal style and made by white’s.
releasing three collaborations at once wasn’t planned but since all were ready at the same time it was decided they’d be launched simultaneously.
made by white has now done a total of seven collaborations this year – another two are on the way with more in the pipeline.
“it’s such fun to work with other designers, we love their reaction when they receive their pieces transformed from a drawing to a real life piece of jewellery, we know only too well how exciting it is the first time you laser cut your design and we love to be able to share that feeling with other people,” says lyndsay.
