This… Design and Living appointed distributor for GreenGate
Retailers are now able to purchase Danish homewares brand GreenGate through a local representative after This… Design and Living signed on as its Australian and New Zealand supplier.
The wholesaler says GreenGate – which will be launched at Design Life, Sydney February Home and Giving Fair – contrasts well with its other labels and offers retailers a broader range of product styles.
“GreenGate is very different to our current brands,” says David Hills, This… Design and Living general manager. “It therefore complements our offering providing more choice and opportunities for business with different retailers.
“We also represent Tine K Home in Australia. Where Tine K Home has a particular look that has been very popular in urban and coastal areas, we expect GreenGate’s style may more suit a traditional or country style – having said that the savvy retailer looking for an eclectic range will find many great pieces in the GreenGate range.”
Products by GreenGate are based on French pattern books from between 1878 to 1920. The brand is well-known and respected throughout Europe.
“We have already been in contact with retailers who are GreenGate aficionados, some of whom have been importing products themselves from Denmark. They are delighted to know there will now be an Australian representative.
“GreenGate’s quality and design elements will also bring us many new customers at the gift fair. We will be looking for the single most appropriate retailers in any one region who can become the exclusive GreenGate outlet in that area.
“It is our intention to have the entire range available in Australia and New Zealand during 2014. GreenGate has invested in state-of-the-art warehousing in Hong Kong to better serve this region, Japan and the United States.”
