The duo behind the best-selling Little Book series have unveiled their latest gift book, You Are Beautiful, which aims to help women and teenage girls rediscover and celebrate their inner beauty.
“Every woman was once a little girl, and this book contains images of little girls to remind us just how innocent and carefree many young girls are,” says Heidi Cuschieri, co-author.
“When girls are little they exude an air of healthy confidence and are carefree. Then something happens and often the journey of self-doubt begins. This book is to remind women just how beautiful they really are.”
You Are Beautiful is distributed by Wild Eagle and recorded high numbers of pre-orders before its April release. Part proceeds go towards helping impoverished women in Madagascar.
“Our aim with this book is to help increase self-confidence in teenage girls and women in an engaging way with beautiful images of little girls and words that will inspire, reflect and help them in their lives,” says David Cuschieri, co-author.
“With the rates of teenage bullying being so high and violent, it is also about girls appreciating, supporting and loving each other and hopefully if all girls and women can recognise the beauty in themselves and others, they will think differently.”
Heidi adds, “it starts with the girls. If we can help girls and women, we help change the world. Women are the carers, the nurturers, the givers; they are the ones who will change the world because they pass their knowledge and education on to their children, which has a flow on effect to future generations.”
