It has been an eventful couple of weeks for gift fairs, with AGHA cancelling its Melbourne fair, Reed Gift Fairs and Life Instyle postponing their gift fairs to September and now Sydney Gift & Lifestyle is moving its event by one week.
Originally scheduled for 18 to 21 September, the organisers feel it is in everyone’s best interest to have the event one week later from 25 to 28 September, to make sure it doesn’t clash with the new fair dates for Reed Gift Fairs and Life Instyle (17 to 19 September).
Managing director Gary Fitz-Roy says there are still four days of trading regardless of the date change.
“Expertise Events has been able to secure dates at the ICC a week later, being 25 to 28 September,” he says.
“Having consulted Michael Stubbs from Exhibition Logistics, it’s possible for freight trucks to arrive in Sydney, after the three-day Melbourne show, on Tuesday afternoon or early Wednesday morning, in time for the Sydney show.”
This means that exhibitors can do both shows without having to worry about missing out on opportunities to showcase their latest products and ranges, and retailers get to attend both events and source the products they need for the seasons ahead.
