Starline Distribution adds two brands to portfolio
Starline Distribution now covers more product categories after signing on to supply the Artbird and Bumkins brands to the Australian market.
The two new additions sit alongside the wholesaler’s first label Built to bring its portfolio up to three brands.
“We are looking for something unique, as well as affordable and then all the way up to higher end to try to encompass every product [category] that each retailer might desire depending on their locations and target markets in store,” says Victoria McLoughlin, sales director. “We found both of these brands in the US, in Chicago – the annual trade show there is a hot spot for real brand development and new concepts being a real innovator in the marketplace.”
Artbird designs quirky art and graphic based bags and is new to the Australian market. Its products have a retro feel.
“The products are useful and practical yet the quality and design concept is a major point of difference. They took a boring concept and innovated – bowling ball bags, cut them in half, made them a great design, insulated and boom it’s a unique lunch bag.”
Bumkins has previously been available through niche retailers importing the product directly to Australia. The partnership with Starline Distribution is expected to bring the brand growth and wider exposure.
“[Bumkins features] innovative products that are so practical and effective to use. Wet/dry bag, bibs and other accessories mean it’s cost effective to have a unique pattern design that stands out, yet is practical for parents’ everyday use.”
Starline Distribution will launch both brands at the Melbourne August Reed Gift Fair.
