SIT-KA launches Luxe collection
After just six months in business, luxury homewares brand SIT-KA has released its latest range, the Luxe Collection.
Featuring a decorative copper ladder, fabric and leather cushions with copper zips, and a handcrafted day bed, Luxe reflects SIT-KA founder Stacey Hunter’s desire to combine minimalist design with modern luxury.
According to Hunter, the range “represents SIT-KA’s true style—blush, grey, copper and leather styled alongside beautiful tones of Victorian ash and bold, expressive strokes of black and white.”
While she had always dreamed of owning a business, Hunter decided to start SIT-KA last year after a career change and a lot of research. “I felt it was time for a new Australian luxury homewares brand,” she says. “SIT-KA is a boutique label made for those that care about style and quality.”
All SIT-KA’s products are designed and made in Point Lonsdale, a coastal town on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, and Hunter is passionate about keeping things local. “After working in the fashion industry and seeing production go off shore, it was important to me to support Australian manufacturers and suppliers,” she explains.
The brand has been warmly received by the design community since its launch, and Hunter says a highlight was being approached by popular lifestyle blog Rebecca Judd Loves to launch the Luxe Collection on the site. She is currently working on an exclusive range with Norsu Interiors, and planning the next SIT-KA collection.
While the brand is growing quickly, Hunter says she tries to remember to take things slowly. “The biggest challenge so far is to remember that SIT-KA is only six months old and that I still have a long way to go. I have big things planned for SIT-KA but it’s all in the preparation.
“Starting a business is not an easy decision to make, but with a good work ethic, passion and support I believe I’m heading in the right direction.”
