homewares brand salt&pepper has invited fans to inspire its next my time mug and platter set via a new competition.
entrants are asked to express their imagination in any format such as a sketch, video or blog entry. the top four will be picked by salt&pepper’s creative director sissi stasios to be turned into design artwork. the finalists artworks will be posted on facebook where followers can ‘like’ their favourite. stasios will judge the winner based on fan feedback but also on creativity, uniqueness, fit to the brand and commerciality
“it’s really important to engage with our consumers and we really wanted to give them the opportunity to put together something that showcases their own personal style,” she says.
“as a creative director i love to express myself creatively and see my ideas come to life throughout the design process. i’m thrilled that we are able to share this special experience with the winner and bring their idea and inspiration to life.
“in return we can see which looks are popular and keep this in mind when planning future collections so that our customer and their taste is always top of mind.”
the winner will have their ideas brought to life and sold in stores next year. they will also receive $1,000.
stasios says the competition is a great way to engage customers with the brand.
“it’s our way of showing that our consumers are very important to us. our aim is to allow everyone to express their personality in the homes they love. inviting our consumers to inspire our designs will help us do this,” she adds.
