Rise in number of retailers attending Life Instyle Melbourne
Once again people flocked to the iconic Royal Exhibition Building early August for Life Instyle, a boutique event for retailers and buyers, ahead of the retail industry’s busiest period, the Christmas buying season.
Showcasing over 430 cutting-edge brands, the trade fair confirmed its relevance and benefit to the industry with more than 6,400 visitors attending the show over four days.
Life Instyle exhibition manager, Flyn Roberts, says she was impressed with the quality of both the exhibitor stands and the products they were displaying.
“Walking the show floor at last week’s event, I was blown away by so many beautifully crafted exhibitor stands and amazing products,” she says.
“Across the four days, the show floor was full of activity, which was great to see―resulting in an increase number in attendance in comparison to last year’s event―a great result for all involved.”
With an increase in attendees from the 2017 event, Life Instyle not only provided Australian retailers the opportunity to connect with the makers behind the latest products, it also introduced 70 emerging designers to market as part of First Instyle.
“The success of the Life Instyle Melbourne event really helps to reinforce the show’s significance to those within the Australian retail industry. We are so proud to each year be able to deliver a one-stop destination for Australian retailers to discover new and innovative products, find new business and hear from industry leaders on ways to further strengthen their business,” adds Roberts.
Besides the return of favourites such as the Conversation Series―seminar with hosted content presented by some of the industry’s best talent including Tommie magazine, StartUp Creative, Mr Simple and Opus Design―and Kids Instyle, visitors also got a first-hand look at thousands of products crafted with an Australian made, handmade and sustainable focus, forming part of the beautiful new retail wares we can expect to see on store shelves in 2019.
New to Life Instyle Melbourne was Men Instyle, which successfully launched at Sydney earlier this year in response to the growing consumer demand for retailers to offer more men’s products and fashion.
“The official debut of our Men Instyle section in Melbourne was a huge feat for us. Here at Life Instyle we believe it’s so important to listen to our demographic and what Australian retailers are after, so that we continue to adapt to this rapidly changing and extremely vibrant industry.”
Life Instyle returns to Sydney from 21 to 24 February 2019 at the Royal Hall of Industries & Horden Pavilion.
