Positive sign for trade fairs, more than 90% of space booked for Christmasworld 2021
Many trade fairs this year have either been cancelled or postponed to a later date due to the coronavirus, however, businesses are looking forward to 2021 to restart their engines again.
Christmasworld is one of the first trade fairs of 2021 and already more than 670 exhibitors have signed up to attend, which means 90 per cent of the exhibition space is filled. This is a positive sign for the industry.
“Our exhibitors and visitors can benefit from personal interchange at Christmasworld 2020, until our lives have reached normality again,” says Eva Olbrich, Christmasworld director at Messe Frankfurt Exhibition.
“Until then it is a matter of survival for our high-street retailers that they should serve their customers online as well.”
Many big name companies from Europe have already confirmed their attendance including Decostar, Inge’s Christmas Décor and Koopman International.
“We are glad to see this major response―particularly in the current situation, which is impacting so negatively on both business and society worldwide. The whole team at the fair will be doing everything they can to offer our customers at the end of January 2021 a valuable and reliable business platform once again”, she adds.
Olbrich says now is the time to work together to find new, creative paths out of this extremely critical economic situation, as marketplaces and consumption are increasingly shifting online.
“We are justified in hoping that our Christmas goods will get into the shops, a little late perhaps, but in good time. However uncertain all plans must be, Christmas will still take place,” she says.
Christmasworld 2021 takes place from 29 January to 2 February 2021 in Frankfurt.
