Belgian brand Paradiso Toys has signed with distributor Plum Products to supply its outdoor toys and play equipment in the UK and Australia.
Paradiso Toys makes plastic sandpits, slides, playhouses and play mats. These products require little or no assembly.
Plum Products decided to add the brand to its portfolio because it shares a similar ethos with Paradiso Toys.
“There are many synergies,” says Josh Agnew, national account manager, Plum Products Australia. “Like Plum, Paradiso is a well-known trusted brand throughout Europe. Both companies are privately owned and have been around for over 20 years. We operate in the same sector and place a high importance on safety, quality and price. Adding their plastic to our wood is a perfect fit to increase the depth of range we offer to the Australian market.
“Plum has always typically been involved in wooden and metal toys so Paradiso’s range of plastic toys provides us with a new offering to further extend our current market reach.”
The first load of stock is expected for Easter 2014 with the full range to arrive ahead of the Christmas buying season next year.
“We believe the Paradiso brand will be well received here in Australia,” adds Agnew. “The toys are a perfect fit for the outdoor culture with our many months of sunshine and warm weather. It will take some time to establish the brand but we believe we can make Paradiso a well-known plastic toy brand in the market.”
