Paper Empire launches spring/summer 2015 art range
Melbourne design studio and brand agent Paper Empire Australia has released its spring/summer collection, featuring a diverse range of art.
Launched in 2013 by Therese O’Donoghue, the concept behind Paper Empire is simple—to bring talented local and international artists to the Australian public.
“We are passionate about the authenticity of the art and making it easy for people to connect with it,” she says.
The collection includes a selection of limited edition prints from Stefan Gevers, including his Australian bird range and botanical series. Other artists in Paper Empire’s portfolio include WhatWeDo Copenhagen, which has released a range of posters, birch ply panels and greeting cards as part of its Faunascapes range, and Dutch design house Studio Snowpuppe that has launched a range of lamps inspired by the art of origami.
It is a deliberately diverse portfolio with new styles, genres and themes added regularly in response to trends in art and design, and includes everything from children’s wall art to large scale artworks and design books.
The company produces over 80 per cent of its ranges in Australia, and O’Donoghue says that she enjoys collaborating with local crafts people on art projects. “We find the result is outstanding.
“Creating signed limited edition prints, art prints or by representing skilled designers, our aim is always the same—to offer an affordable, easily collectible, beautiful and well crated work for the home or commercial space.”
Paper Empire sells its ranges to select retailers across Australia, and has a showroom open to retail and trade customers by appointment.
