Opportunities galore at Melbourne Gift & Lifestyle
Attracting thousands of key buyers, Melbourne Gift & Lifestyle brought together industry suppliers and retailers across categories such as homewares, decoration, fashion, accessories, gift products and more.
For three days, from 3 to 5 February, buyers flocked to the MCEC to source new products, replenish their stock and find that next big seller for the year ahead.
Gift & Lifestyle had organised daily speakers including renowned interior designer Shaynna Blaze, well-known for her role on Channel 9’s The Block and Selling Houses Australia, who shared her expertise and insights into upcoming trends.
Additionally, television and radio presenter Jo Stanley delivered a presentation on the importance of work-life balance and Mariela Zaharija, head of marketing at the Australian Retailers Association, provided valuable marketing insights.
“We had great guest speakers who shared very valuable insights and some fun activities onsite for visitors and exhibitors,” says general manager, Zac Fitz-Roy.
Special activities at the fair included personalised cartoon caricatures, happy hour networking, opportunities to win the ultimate Gift Box, entertainment by a talented DJ and a new competition—the Startup Showcase, which was won by Little Change Creators.
“Winning this year’s Startup Showcase was an amazing honour as it validated the quality of my products and recognised my efforts,” says creative director, Paige McInnes.
“I’m very grateful for the opportunity provided by Gift & Lifestyle as it’s a fantastic initiative for early-stage businesses to gain brand exposure and grow.”
The winner demonstrated not only an amazing vision for an innovative range of products, but a great execution onsite with their colourful and engaging stand. They will be supported to help grow their business with a range of great prizes sponsored by Giftguide as well as Expertise Events.
As the first gift fair of the year, Gift & Lifestyle was a great opportunity for the retail industry to explore and experience new products, establish valuable relationships with key supply partners and understand emerging trends.
“Ultimately, what’s most important is the opportunity for retailers to connect with suppliers, see new products and place orders for the months ahead—and the feedback has been great on this front,” he adds.
Melbourne Gift & Lifestyle Fair will be back in 2025 from 1 to 3 February.
