Feast Watson’s successful Re-Love project is back again for its fourth consecutive year, with seven leading designers and design studios including Mark Tuckey, The Design Hunter and Kip & Co transforming old timber items into unique, one-off pieces, all for a good cause.
Each of the pieces will be auctioned on eBay from Thursday 25 August until Sunday 4 September, with all proceeds going to Salvos Stores.
CEO Matt Davis says the charity and beneficiaries are grateful for the thousands of dollars raised and donated since the campaign launched in 2013.
“Salvos Stores are delighted to once again benefit from the outstanding efforts of Feast Watson and the Re-Love Project,” he enthuses. “Each year, the designers generously donate their time and efforts to their individual projects and we are incredibly grateful. We can’t wait to see the outcome of this year’s auction.”
While upcycling is becoming increasingly popular, many pieces of unwanted furniture are still being thrown out. The Re-Love project is trying to change that, showing the potential second hand furniture has with a little TLC.
“The designs showcase how timber furniture items of all types can be transformed into something truly unique and unexpected,” says Feast Watson’s brand manager, Jessie Green.
“All seven designers have gone above and beyond to create something truly special this year. It is so exciting to see such a variety of furniture items completely transformed into beautiful pieces.
“The end result is amazing, so we are encouraging all Australians to get behind the auction and make a bid to benefit a worthy cause in the Salvos Stores.”
