Noritake wins best new product at Reed Gift Fair
Tableware brand Noritake scooped the best new product award at the Melbourne Reed Gift Fair last month for its Carnivale range.
Noritake national sales manager, Steven Yeend, says they were thrilled to receive the award.
“We were very excited and honoured to win this award, especially given that the Carnivale range was designed here in Australia,” he says. “To be selected from amongst so many quality exhibitors was certainly a thrill.”
According to Reed Gift Fairs, the simple yet elegant new dinnerware range is right on trend, the prefect mix of modern and 1920s style.
“The design style – French Provincial – and matching colour palettes are very much in at the moment, which when combined with the current popularity of high tea makes for a winning formula,” say the judges.
Noritake has been distributing the Carnivale mugs for about a decade and their increasing popularity resulted in the company launching three new items – a cup and saucer, espresso cup and saucer and cake plates – which were introduced at the gift fair to an overwhelming response.
“Carnivale is a good looking and commercial collection and sales of this range were more than double any other product. As a matter of fact, we have had to revise our inventory forecast upwards to meet demand.”
The company also introduced a variety of new product ranges in Melbourne including IVV Italian Glass, a stunning new 18/10 cutlery set and two new colours in its contemporary Colourwave Stoneware series.
Echoing the positive sentiment at the fair, Yeend says he was very happy with the feedback they received.
“There were many positives for Noritake in Melbourne; both from the point of view of new product launches and also the many compliments we received about our new look stand. Overall the fair provided us with an opportunity to present a very strong branding statement.”
