Noosa Heads store expands
Hearts and Minds Art ~ Home has taken over the shop next door to increase floor space to accommodate more furniture ranges.
The Hastings Street store has now split products into art and home sections and moved products like Chloe Planinsek cushions, D’Vine food products and photo tea towels to the Home shop while handcrafted jewellery, greeting cards and original books are in the art section.
Owners Julie Holland and Greg Peeler also plan to expand their children’s section and stock L’Erbolario body products in April.
According to Holland things fell into place for the expansion as the store next door became available just when they’d taken on more furniture. She says customers have responded well to the new look.
“They love it, I think because we have still kept our unique ‘feel’,” she says. “Both shops are interesting, have a welcoming atmosphere and offer good service. As a rule we source Australian made or locally made items which is rare in Hastings Street. Certainly the reaction to our Facebook announcement was one of great encouragement and excitement which is lovely.”
The store originally opened three years ago to showcase Holland’s photography and framed inspirational writing as well as Peeler’s peg frames and locally made jewellery.
