New Sydney showroom for Boyd Blue
Homewares wholesaler and manufacturer, Boyd Blue, has opened a new showroom in Sydney’s Rosebery catering to retailers and industry customers along with the general public.
Located in a renovated warehouse, the 722 square metre showroom is three times larger than Boyd Blue’s previous space in Surry Hills and will allow the brand to showcase its own furniture, lighting and accessories, along with products from the international brands it represents including lighting and décor by Arteriors and outdoor furniture from Skyline.
Founding director Shelley Boyd, who was recently short-listed for the 2015 Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award, says she is excited about the possibilities of the building, which features original vaulted ceilings and lots of natural light.
“This move comes off the back of some major business achievements and the size and creative potential of the building makes for a really magical environment for our thriving Sydney client base,” she says.
“We were bursting at the seams in our previous showroom and now we finally have the space to do our products, suppliers and clients justice.”
Boyd is also very proud of her team, and says the move comes after a successful 18 months which saw Boyd Blue create a handcrafted upholstery label with one of Australia’s last remaining master upholsters, White Furniture Design, launch hand-woven rug brand, Boyd Rugs, expand nationally and double its staff.
For the first time, Boyd Blue will open its showroom to the public for one off retail purchases. “It’s an exciting move and one we’ve had a growing demand for over a long period of time,” adds Boyd.
The showroom is located at 2D Hayes Road, Rosebery.
