New Father’s Day gift range from Men’s Republic
With Father’s Day only two months away, it’s time to start adding to your stock with cool, unique and practical gifts that make you stand out from the crowd.
For Men’s Republic, different is what the brand is all about says its founder, Sheldon Mayer.
“We don’t offer the traditional men’s gifts that you normally find in a department store, but rather unique and on-trend gifts that would be ‘very cool’ to receive as a gift,” he says.
“I often hear from retailers who tell me that guys are excited to receive Men’s Republic products as birthday or holiday gifts purchased from their store.”
Men’s Republic has several new products in the pipeline specifically designed for Father’s Day including docking station and night stand; multifunction hammer and torch gift pack; men’s grooming kit (12 pieces in zipper bag); 16 piece BBQ set in aluminium case; grooming kit (4pc cleansing in toiletry bag); and stylus pen pocket multi tool (9-in-1 functions).
“The men’s gift market is growing fast―looking good is cool. As guys, it seems that we are finally evolving into the modern man who looks after himself through family, work and play. Many guys are stepping up and trying to look good not only for their partners, but for themselves―a sense of ‘feeling better about our manhood and how we present ourselves to the world’ in our everyday lives.
“Not too long ago if you went to a poker game, you could almost suffocate from the odours, not to mention the old shaggy clothes and dreadful bedhead. Today, those same guys are well groomed and present like winners. It is definitely the way to go,” says Mayer.
Men’s Republic was launched in August 2018 to bring together a dynamic range of men’s products and gift ideas beyond the traditional, he adds.
While there are many gift ideas for women, Mayer was always stuck when it came to original gifts for men. Sure, there are the predictable gifts that we all often end up choosing, but most of us just raise our eyebrows and go ‘ummm’.
“So I set about to create the Men’s Republic brand to take away the guesswork and offer products that are on-trend, functional and highly saleable. I wanted to offer gifts for the man who has everything.
“My vision was to provide a gift range perfect for every type of man … husbands, boyfriends, sons, uncles, grandfathers, friends, colleagues (and the list goes on).”
While the company, like everyone else, has been affected by Covid-19, Mayer is excited about the future and what lies ahead for the brand.
“Seeing the brand evolve over the past couple of years with strong market acceptance and continued support from independent and volume retailers has been great.
“The Men’s Republic story has just begun and we are really thrilled about the future. A lot of hard work from our team lies ahead to ensure our customers are presented with our full range and are well stocked to ensure good sell through.
“We will make sure that new products lines are offered, along with ‘next level’ customer service through our updated systems. Ultimately, we aim to be the ultimate men’s gift wholesaler, and will always strive to be the best at what we do.”
