Importer and wholesaler, Delight Décor, has launched its 2016 Christmas range along with new additions to its existing collections.
This is the second time the company has done a large Christmas collection, and managing director Jane Leonard says she knows the demand from retailers is there.
“We had really good feedback from last Christmas with most retailers selling out straight away,” she says. “That’s why we’ve gone even bigger…We’ve tried to do a pretty extensive range so retailers can get everything they need from one place.”
As a lighting specialist, Delight Décor’s Christmas range includes large light trees, decorative lighting, tree lighting and baubles.
Leonard will also be launching a children’s addition to in-house brand Lumi Co—these are lights made of timber and propylene in various animal shapes—and expanding the Light Ups range, which started with a cute pear that has become extremely successful.
“The pear started as a novelty gift under $20 but it went so well that we’re expanding the range and doing a plug in version,” says Leonard.
“We don’t do your everyday lamps because you can get them everywhere.”
There is also a new emoticon lamp range for older children, which Leonard says fills a gap in the Delight Décor portfolio, as well as the hug globe that has been designed as a nightlight for younger children.
As a small business, Leonard says the three things Delight Décor is focused on are customer service, quality and a personal approach.
“We look for products that our customers can’t find themselves; we like high quality without the ridiculous price; and we really like to deal with small business, so we don’t approach larger chains—we’re more about small owner-operated businesses.”
The new range launched at Reed Gift Fair Sydney, and Leonard is excited to show visitors the products.
“We’ve only sent out a few teasers about our new products, so hopefully it will be fantastic. We really are launching to our customers for the first time at the fair.”
