My Family stickers go mini
Millions of Australians have put My Family car stickers on their vehicles and now they can feature the same designs anywhere they like with the launch of a mini version.
The idea for The Sticker Family’s (TSF) follow up product was sparked by fans’ use of the car stickers on things other than the back window of a car, but since these stickers are quite large it was thought a smaller version would work well.
“We’ve envisaged that we’ll probably see them in places that we didn’t even imagine,” says Monica Liebenow, TSF co-owner. “We think that definitely the mobile devices are going to be a big one. They’ve certainly made an appearance on all of our phones and iPods and they’re a good size for that because you can fit depending on what case you have sometimes on the back.”
My Family mini stickers are made up of TSF’s most popular designs as well as a few from international markets previously unseen inAustraliasuch as three different types of skiers.
While the mini stickers don’t hit stores until December, early reaction has been positive both locally and overseas.
Distribution for this range is being handled by TSK Giftware. “We decided to launch the minis through a distributor this time round because this is what we have been doing in our overseas markets and it has worked very, very well for us,” explains Liebenow.
“I think in the early days when we started with our car stickers Phil and I were very new to it all and we were hoping to get it into a few stores [but] it snowballed from there. With a few years hindsight we see the benefits of going to a professional distributor who’s got the contacts and those relationships in place already, whereas we started from scratch with the car stickers.”
My Family mini stickers are available in packs of 150 stickers with about 90 different characters. Packs retail for $6.95 each.
