Meet some of the brands exhibiting at Stock Up & Top Up
This weekend Stock Up & Top Up (SUTU) is set to go live, providing retailers with that all important last opportunity to source the latest products for their store to maximise sales this Christmas.
The table top show is held on Sunday 7 November and Monday 8 November, and exhibitors will be showcasing their newest ranges in an easy to see and touch format at the ICC in Sydney.
We spoke to some exhibitors about the event and the new products they are launching.
Karen Callegaro, Bamboozld
This will be the first gift event after months in lockdown, why is it important for retailers to visit SUTU?
SUTU is the first gift event we have been able to participate in post lockdown and we are very excited to have the opportunity to participate.
It is the best opportunity to buy your Christmas collection for the year, with challenging global supply and local freight delays retailers need to plan early to ensure they have a great range of products for their customers.
Our one tip for retailers would be to select products that will make their customers feel good.
What are some of the new products Bamboozld is showcasing?
Bamboozld will be showcasing the Christmas gift range which includes new products such as Sock Christmas Crackers, Christmas Boxer Short Crackers and many sock and sleepwear gift sets. The range is designed to make gifting easy.
Gail Bouchaud, Next Generation Homewares (NGH)
As an exhibitor, what are you looking forward to at SUTU?
It will be good to get back to some form of normality like exhibiting and attending a trade event, sharing experiences with follow exhibitors and business owners. It’s a positive step for everyone’s mental state, encouraging getting back to business. The last two years have been very difficult for so many in our industry including retailers, wholesalers, exhibition providers and all our business suppliers.
What can retailers expect to see from NGH?
We are launching our New Kids Training Chopsticks. They are ambidextrous with adjustable rings that can be tuned in an angle that fits perfectly on each individual hand. The snap fit hinge design and wider tips of the chopsticks are also for easier food pick up.
When you’re a pro with Marcus & Marcus chopsticks just use them without the rings. Perfect for kids aged three and over, they will be available in all six of our animal charters. Our current range of Animal Learning Chopsticks is extremely popular, it’s one of the first items our customers reorder.
We are also running a competition for retailers who place an order with NGH at SUTU.
What is the one tip you have for retailers visiting SUTU?
SUTU is a mini trade event, take advantage of the smaller scale exhibition and pick the brains of your suppliers, find out what’s been working for other retailers, and most of all enjoy being out and about again.
Cheryle Roberts, Stones & Silver
Why did you decide to exhibit at SUTU?
We feel SUTU will be a great opportunity to connect with new buyers and catch up with our existing customers.
We can’t wait to catch up with our customers, some who we haven’t seen for quite some time due to lockdowns.
What can retailers expect to see from Stones & Silver?
We will be showcasing all of our beautiful one off style gemstone pieces including a vast range of rings and pendants which can be selected and taken on the day.
The Giftguide team will also be at Stock Up & Top Up so make sure you stop by and say hi, and pick up a copy of the latest issue!
