Luxury Australian accessories brand launches sustainable laptop bag
In line with the new hybrid work week as well as the need for more eco-friendly options, Maison de Sabré is introducing its latest innovation, The Laptop Bag.
Launched last month and crafted from sustainable, premium full-grain leather, The Laptop Bag is as flexible as your workplace, says Omar Sabré, Maison de Sabré creative director and designer.
“Consumers are moving away from fast fashion trends and thinking more about investment pieces and that’s really the lane we play in,” he says.
“Part of our ethos is all about longevity and quality, we don’t want you to buy something that is relevant today but won’t be relevant tomorrow. The Laptop Bag solves the problem of being able to carry it all. The main thing we wanted to achieve was to create a design that can hold up to 16-inch devices and it’s something that’s been in the works for 24 months.”
The Laptop Bag taps into a growing trend evolving around the new work culture and environment that has been popping up all over the world.
Major international trade fairs such as Ambiente and Maison&Objet are dedicating complete areas to the New Work meta trend and the shift in thinking towards work-life blending that’s also accelerating the implementation of sustainable aspects.
“We are resolute in our commitment to sustainability, which is why we exclusively source full-grain leather from Gold-Rated European tanneries that operate under the responsible practices of the Leather Working Group (LWG),” says Sabré.
“This body rewards tanneries that uphold the highest international standards for leather production―from their use of water and energy to their chemical management and health and safety practices.”
The Laptop Bag comes in eight colours and retails for $359.
