Love Mae celebrates five years in business
Love Mae, an Australian brand known for its fabric wall stickers, has hit a milestone, celebrating five years in business with a month of competitions and giveaways.
“I love what I do in the everyday of Love Mae, so it helps when things get overwhelming,” says Peta O’Neill, director Love Mae. “I’d say our survival has a lot to do with wise help. I’ve never been too shy to ask for help and I’ve been lucky enough to find people who have helped immensely. Some decisions are intuitive… but other decisions need the wisdom of someone who has experience.”
The northern New South Wales based label also designs wrapping paper, wall paper and bamboo dinnerware but plans to return to its original focus on baby and nursery products.
“We went off on a tangent for a little while there but are looking forward to coming back to that sweet soft style of new life and nurturing spaces. We’ve got so much planned and hoping to have it all made in Australia.
“The wonderful part of being so young is that we have so many new areas to explore with both products and customer locations. We will soon launch new products and new product lines. It’s always such an exciting time, we can’t wait to see and hear how our customers feel about our new direction.”
Despite the birthday celebrations, Love Mae is keen to keep evolving and will get stuck back into work shortly after the champagne bottle has been popped.
“It feels amazing, but there is a hint in the air that it is just the start of the Love Mae journey,” explains O’Neill. “We are in the middle of changing times, some days it can feel as challenging as the first year. I’ve got so much to reflect on but I’m more aware than ever that I’ve got so much to learn.”
