Little Innoscents named finalist in 2011 Telstra Business Awards
organic baby skincare company little innoscents has been announced as a finalist in the 2011 telstra business awards.
the victorian based brand is nominated in the micro business award category for business with less than five employees.
telstra business group managing director and telstra business awards ambassador, deena shiff says all finalists showed an understanding of customer needs and had high customer service levels at the core of their business.
“the best victorian finalists clearly have a commitment to providing top customer service that underpins their business growth,” she says.
little innoscents founder antonette golikidis says the selection process, which took place over the past several months and involved a questionnaire, site visit, interview and business plan submission, helped her see how far she has come.
“as difficult as it was, the selection process was a productive and exciting time,” she says. “it allowed me take a step back and evaluate where the business was at, which when you’re running a company is essential but not always feasible.
“one of the criteria in the telstra business award involved looking at our competitors and what they’re up to, and for me this research underlined that our true difference from our competitors is still exactly what it was when i first started five years ago – we have australian certified organic ingredients and not just a couple thrown in for good marketing measure.”
golikidis believes customer service is at the heart of what she does.
“i’m so proud that since its conception i have strived for nothing but the very best in customer service for little innoscents customers,” she adds.
“many mums have been shocked to find out that when they ring the little innoscents ’1300 customer care’ number that they reach me on my home phone. sometimes we chat for hours – mostly about baby’s skin health and sometimes about their careers before bubs because they’ve read about my story.”
the melbourne finalists will attend the award ceremony on july 1, where the victorian winners will be announced.
