Linens & More has launched Zed Home, an in-house brand created to complement its tradition, classic style collection by offering a range focused on trends with a wider appeal.
Designer Sarah McLennan describes the brand as a “fun, cheeky little sister” to Linens & More. The range includes kitchen textiles, trays, canisters, tins and cushions.
“As a designer I was asked to produce a more contemporary kitchen/table range,” she says. “I was working from home so I could get away from the distractions of the office and was basically inspired by being surrounded by all the things I love. Colour and pattern are everywhere in my home and then there was the garden right outside the window. Taking cues from the watercolour trend I got my brushes out and started painting.
“Because I started with my paints rather than directly on the computer, the patterns have a bit of a wiggly, random style. Nothing is too perfect or samey, but a wonderful jumble that can be layered and matched or mismatched as you like.”
Zed Home was well received at its Home & Giving Fair launch in August and work is underway to expand the range for next season.
“We are working on Zed Winter right now, keeping it a kitchen/table range and taking on board feedback we got at the fair and product popularity. We do have some extra additions planned so watch this space.”
