Jasnor product wins best stuffed toy award
The GUND Boo plush toy has been honoured with Time to Play magazine’s best stuffed toy award in the 2012 Peoples Play Award.
Based on a real-life dog that became an internet sensation with six million Facebook fans, the product is distributed in Australia by Jasnor, which is thrilled with the accolade.
“We’re very excited,” says Noel Thurlow, Jasnor managing director. “This award win from an independent and such a well respected organisation has cemented our belief in how great this product is. We hope every child gets a Boo plush under the Christmas tree this year.”
The US-based Time to Play People’s Play Awards offer readers the chance to select the products they’d like to give this Christmas season. Time to Play’s editorial team select and review the nominees in each of the 20 categories.
Thurlow says it’s easy to see why Boo won the award. “Boo is the ‘world’s cutest dog’… and when you follow his day to day life pictures on Facebook, it’s evident why you can’t help but fall in love with this Pomeranian pooch and become a fan.
“Also GUND, who manufactures the Boo plush, has a world-renown reputation since 1898 for producing excellent quality plush toys that stand the test of time – and many, many hugs – that children will keep and cherish as they grow up.”
The Boo plush has been well received by Australian retailers since its arrival earlier this year. Interest in the product is only expected to grow.
“We first showed Boo at the February Reed Gift Fair in Sydney and retailers and their guests couldn’t help but come up and pick up this plush dog and hug it as if it were a real dog.
“Boo is our [number one] selling plush from the GUND range and is set to have a massive Christmas and 2013. We ask retailers not to leave their orders until the last minute as stock is running out of the door fast.”
