Jasnor joins Disney Frozen craze with new range
Gift and toy distributor Jasnor has secured the distribution rights to some of Disney’s Frozen products including interchangeable charm bracelets and necklaces. Based on the incredibly popular movie, more than 1.4 million units of these items were sold in four months in the US alone.
The pieces are highly collectible, fantastic for impulse sales this Christmas and capitalise on Frozen fever that has swept Australia this year.
“Frozen is officially the highest grossing animated film of all time – raking in more than $1 billion in global ticket sales – and with that a high demand for consumer products, so we set out to find something unique that would complement our current range of licensed product,” says James Thurlow, Jasnor’s sales and marketing director.
“Each year we travel extensively in search of new and innovative products and licenses. We discovered this range in Atlanta and when the opportunity presented itself we knew it would complement our current brands. The product is desirable, collectible and most importantly great quality and very good value for money.”
Kids can collect, swap and change the assorted Disney Frozen charms – featuring Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff – to create their own custom-made Disney Frozen charm bracelet. As a special Xmas promotion, three charm bracelets come presented in a gift box.
Thurlow expects the hype to continue into next year as a second movie is due in May 2015, and Jasnor has already started putting new selections together.
“The demand for Disney’s Frozen product is simply amazing. The movie was first released in Australia in December 2013, followed by a DVD release in April 2014 – and since then Frozen Fever has continued to spread right across Australia with no sign of slowing down.”
The bracelets and necklaces will be in stores by late November 2014.
