Jasnor debuts Betty Boop by Britto at Sydney Reed Gift Fair
Toy and gift wholesaler Jasnor has added an exciting new range to its already extensive Britto collection with the launch of Betty Boop.
Sales and marketing director, James Thurlow, says being such an iconic character and global fashion icon, recognised by 90 per cent of women aged 18-34, Betty Boop has been on Jasnor’s radar for a number of years.
“Betty Boop is one of the most well-known cartoon characters in the world and a billion-dollar retail property, sold globally in over 100 countries across major product categories,” he says.
“Betty Boop’s glamorous and timeless appeal continues to reverberate throughout the world today and she is regarded as one of the first, and most famous, sex symbols on the animated screen. Mix this with the bright, bold and colourful artistic interpretations of renowned Brazilian pop artist Romero Britto, and we believe this exciting new range is a recipe for success.”
Using Betty’s classic image and iconic poses as his muse and inspiration, Britto’s designs have been transposed onto a range of collectible figurines, ornaments and gift items, such as mugs and tumblers.
“We’re sure Britto’s vibrant interpretation and unique execution celebrating this lively lady’s vivacity and enduring appeal will bring a smile to the faces of Betty Boop collectors, and also win over a whole new legion of fans.”
Being a premium and collectible range, the Betty Boop by Britto collection sits perfectly within Jasnor’s stable of collectable figurines and quality giftware, says Thurlow.
“This latest Britto collaboration is sure to be a popular choice with the many retailers who already have an established collector following with our iconic Disney By Britto collection. The Betty Boop by Britto brand can be viewed as an opportunity for retailers to stand out with a fresh new collaboration by Romero Britto and capitalise on the recognition and awareness of this iconic fashion muse and icon.”
Betty Boop by Britto will be available in stores in Australia and New Zealand in July and August, in time for the Christmas season.
