Innovative fashion accessories label PISIDIA has hit Australian stores after its spring launch.
“PISIDIA is truly a unique concept,” says Louise Ma, PISIDIA director. “On one hand it’s very traditional. All the handbags are beautifully constructed and lined. On the other hand it’s incredibly modern with its use of silicone. As a material, silicone is very exciting. It’s made from silica, the second most abundant element on earth, making it a sustainable alternative to oil-based plastic materials and the colours and shapes that can be created using silicone are simply stunning.”
The handbag brand features silicone that is soft yet durable and water resistant. The silicone used by PISIDIA can be sewed and has been developed by the brand’s design team over years, and is patented worldwide.
Products are available in a wide range of colours including white, mulberry and mustard. They have sharp lines and robust hardware.
Australian consumers can choose from the tote, bowler, bookmaker, clutch and pods bags and an origami purse. The range will be expanded over the next year.
“We’re lucky enough to be working with the PISIDIA design team, which allows us to launch product designs and colours exclusively to Australia and New Zealand. This season, we wanted to include bright summer colours like tangerine and teal to reflect the Australian summer. Next season, we’ll be launching new colours and new styles to reflect the changing season.”
