Greeting card wholesaler celebrates 15 year anniversary
Spirit Publishing has many reasons to smile as it reached a milestone of 15 years in business this year, and will be starting the celebrations at the AGHA Melbourne Gift Fair this August.
Owner Mary Bradner says she can’t believe how fast the years have gone.
“When you work with a great team and a great product and some fantastic retailers, time flies,” she enthuses.
“That’s not to say we haven’t had our moments but all in all we’re proud of the product we offer and to be working with the team of sales and merchandisers we work with. As well, some of our great retailers make it all worthwhile in the end.”
The company is planning a few fun events to mark the occasion and Bradner says the reason why Spirit is still going strong after 15 years is simple.
“To be honest, it’s because we do have a great product, a great team and some very loyal, savvy and smart retailers.
“I love working with people who inspire me and working with a team that pushes me and keeps on keeping on… And we will keep doing what we’re doing by introducing great products and working with wonderful people in years to come.”
Looking back, Bradner says it all seemed so daunting when the company was launched but they just kept chipping away and pushing.
“Focus on your brand and longevity of product lines. Don’t go for the ‘flash in the pan’ or the quick sale, but slowly and steadily keep your eye on your long-term goals. Don’t focus only on growth and always keep your eye on being productive and profitable.
“But most of all have fun! If you can’t go to work every day and look forward to doing what you do—rethink.”
