Furniture and homewares supplier launches in Sydney
Satara is spreading its wings again and will now have a presence in each Australian state after its recent collaboration with Sydney based SMITHMADE, a unique furniture, design and lifestyle store and retail hub.
Founded by Andrew and Colleen Johnston in Melbourne 10 years ago, Satara already has showrooms in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Auckland, with Sydney completing the list.
Known for its versatile collections of indoor and outdoor furniture and homewares, the partnership with SMITHMADE in Balgowlah is a direct result of demand from the design community and general public alike, says Andrew.
“Every week we have requests from Sydneysiders to see our products, happily we now have a terrific venue at SMITHMADE to direct them to,” he says.
Inspired by natural materials and global trends, Satara’s collections are perfect for retail, designer and commercial markets. Its aesthetic effortlessly complements the Australian climate and relaxed lifestyle.
Their new ranges are a real highlight, with chic alfresco and dining pieces, adds David Dunbar, owner of SMITHMADE.
“Satara’s aesthetic hits the mark for Aussies that love a relaxed yet luxurious look,” he explains.
“Standout new products for 2019/20 include the new Catalan Collection, a collaboration between exceptional design and robust outdoor materials. The Indoor ranges also include the popular Noah and Logan ranges made from recycled teak.”
