Florence Broadhurst collaborates with Rapee
Australian home textiles label Rapee has incorporated the iconic prints of Australian textile designer Florence Broadhurst in its latest collection.
The Broadhurst range will be available in five stories and a number of colourways, which will extend throughout outdoor, indoor living and dining and kitchen and will be centred on eleven archival prints.
“It has been an absolute dream to bring Florence’s larger than life personality back to life through design,” says Kevin Maartensz, general manager at Rapee. “The collaboration of Rapee and Florence Broadhurst is an exciting project that we can’t wait to launch both locally and internationally.”
The designs will be printed on premium fabrics using various techniques including 100 per cent silk jacquards, embroideries on 100 per cent cotton, foil prints on 100 per cent linens and prints on cotton linen blends. Colours include blue, yellow, fuchsia and metallic.
Broadhurst’s designs will brighten up any kitchen with the collection of dining accessories – including cork and silicone placements and reversible printed cotton placemats and runners – and kitchen in a bag kits which will feature an apron and double oven mitt in a totebag.
The Florence Broadhurst collection will be sold initially through department stores and boutique homewares retailers, and will be available from June 2013. Prices start from $99 for embroideries through to $120 for 100 per cent silk scatter cushions.
