Escape to Paradise launches custom design service
Homewares wholesaler Escape to Paradise launched a new custom design brand, Mintiqe, at the Sydney Home and Giving Fair in February.
Founder Sacha Alagich says she decided to expand into custom design after seeing a need for customisable soft furnishings.
Escape to Paradise had been doing custom fitouts for resorts and hotels for a number of years, so the new brand is an extension of what Alagich had already been doing behind the scenes.
“After many years listening to our customers we found a need for being able to offer them custom made ranges so they can choose the colours and patterns they like,” she says. “We want to become the premier destination to source soft furnishing from as we are able to offer a wide range with hundreds of designs to choose from.”
The service is open to anyone, with no minimum order quantity, and lets customers design their own indoor and outdoor cushions, duvet cover sets, blankets and table linen by picking the pattern and colours.
“My inspiration behind the new brand is to be able to offer customers the widest selection of products possible and to be able to adapt to trends as fast as we can. We have a turnaround time of three weeks from placing an order to having the products delivered to customers, so they can always be up to date with the latest trends and can always be different,” explains Alagich.
While interior designers love the service, it caters to a wide market including retailers looking for something different for their store.
“We launched the new brand Mintiqe at the trade show and had such an amazing response. Retailers were very excited about this new concept because it gives them a world of possibilities to create their own designs and to be unique.”
