Envirosax due to launch new Cherry Lane range of reusable bags
one of australia's original companies specialising in reusable shopping bags, envirosax, is broadening its collection and is due to launch the new cherry lane range this month aimed at vintage fans who harbour an environmental awareness.
"the main inspiration for cherry lane is creating a lovely bag that will become an old favourite," says ceo and founder belinda david-tooze.
"whether you're riding your bicycle to the market or enjoying a picnic in the park, it will be a bag you will cherish."
the new line includes fresh colours such as ribbon red, denim blue and powder pink combined with classic patterns like gingham and houndstooth.
together with her husband mark, david-tooze established envirosax in 2004 with the aim of reducing the landfill and environmental destruction caused by plastic bags by encouraging consumers to reuse and recycle.
envirosax bags offer a fashionable and durable alternative to disposable plastic bags and fold into a compact, lightweight 10cm roll, making them easy and convenient to carry – features that helped them gain an international following.
"it is delightful to receive feedback from customers around the world who love using the bags for their stylish designs and environmental contribution," says david-tooze.
"the biggest thrill though is the knowledge that this business is making an impact, educating adults and children about the importance of reuse and leaving an environmental legacy for my children – at least they will know we played our part and tried to make a difference. envirosax designs are all about trend, but we believe caring for our planet is a lifestyle."
