Design store goes Danish with new furniture range
Balmain-based design store Stem has branched out with a furniture line from Danish design company Normann Copenhagen.
Founded in 2001, Stem sources a range of local and internationally designed products, with a strong focus on innovative design.
“Good design is for life and doesn’t need to be replaced every season,” says Stem’s store owner Kate Moriarty. “We select products that have integrity, longevity and inspire people to touch and connect with them. Normann Copenhagen products do just that.”
Moriarty believes her customers will love the furniture designs by the sought-after brand, which distributes products to over 70 countries worldwide.
“The latest addition to our range is the Onkel 3-seater sofa, currently only being stocked by ourselves and one other store in Australia. The sofa was designed by a young Danish designer who was still studying industrial design when his products were picked up by Normann Copenhagen. The brand represents hundreds of inspirational stories such as this one and we are proud to add their furniture line to the store.”
Stem also stocks several other furniture items by the company including their Toj Racks, Tablo, Block Table and One Step Up shelving.
“We believe that great design brings more than just beauty and pleasure; it enhances our daily existence. The range of furniture produced by Normann Copenhagen fits perfectly with our design vision and what we’re all about. “
