Delivery service providing 24/7 network to online sellers & shoppers
A new partnership will make online shopping easier than ever for Australian sellers and buyers.
Parcel delivery service Hubbed has partnered with eBay and DHL eCommerce to give online sellers new affordable and convenient options for sending goods.
Hubbed entered the parcel delivery market in 2013, offering a new approach to existing delivery models through its network of pick up and drop off (PUDO) locations. It now has a network of 1,000 petrol stations, convenience stores and newsagents, many of which are open 24/7.
EBay sellers will be able to drop off their customers’ goods at any of Hubbed’s locations, and automatically generate shipping labels for international orders. The partnership with DHL eCommerce lets sellers with a Hubbed account send their parcels to shoppers in 220 countries and territories, simply by dropping their parcels at a Hubbed store.
All parcels sent via DHL eCommerce can be delivered to PO boxes, are fully tracked with instant email notifications options, and receive insurance of up to $50 in value.
CEO of DHL eCommerce, Charles Brewer, says that with online shopping sales by Australians reaching around $20 billion a year, both sellers and shoppers need greater convenience and choice in the way they deliver and collect parcels.
“We are pleased to provide a boost to ecommerce in Australia through convenient drop-off and pick-up points now available extensively across the country to enable delivery to over 220 countries and territories worldwide.”
David McLean, founder and CEO of Hubbed, says the DHL and eBay partnerships are part of Hubbed’s expansion in recent months. He says the company’s model is attractive to retailers as it puts the customer at the heart of the delivery cycle.
“The seamless integration of our extensive parcel drop off network with our delivery carriers, and our low flat rates, is an attractive alternative for eBay sellers,” he says. “Our major advantage is our network of stores that operate late—over 60 per cent operate 24/7.
“Until now, online sellers were required to drop off their parcels during business hours at the post office or wait around for a pick up. Now sellers can drop off at a location close by at a time that suits them, including weekends.
“Hubbed completes the full delivery cycle, from domestic and international shipment, to click and collect, returns, and a pick up point for failed deliveries.”
EBay sellers can benefit from Hubbed’s partnership with DHL eCommerce with a 20 per cent shipping discount on international parcels until 15 February 2018.
