Cotton On partners with Mark Tuckey for homewares range
Iconic Australian brands Cotton On and Mark Tuckey have collaborated on a homewares collection that makes modern design accessible and fun.
The collection is Cotton On’s first foray into the homewares market, and the company follows in the footsteps of other retail powerhouses including Zara and H&M who expanded their offerings with a move into the lifestyle space.
Featuring quality natural materials like cotton, linen and timber, the Cotton On + Mark Tuckey range showcases pared-back Australian simplicity across six categories: eat, drink, relax, store, bathe and sleep. The products are made to appeal to everyone from design enthusiasts wanting to create a beautiful home to first-time renters looking to have fun with decorating.
According to Cotton On general manager Felicity McGahan, expanding into the homewares market is an exciting move, as it also marks Cotton On’s first brand partnership. “We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with one of the country’s iconic design brands to create accessories for your home that reflect our honest, relaxed and quintessentially Australian style,” she says.
“The new collection complements our core men’s and women’s business and gives us the opportunity to make modern and effortless Australian design accessible to our community.”
Mark and Louella Tuckey say they were drawn to the partnership because each brand shares the same relaxed style. “We’re excited about the opportunity to design a fun, relaxed and accessible collection with Cotton On that will allow us to introduce the Mark Tuckey brand to customers and homes throughout Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and South Africa,” they explain.
“The concept of Mark Tuckey + Cotton On is in line with that of our main business—to create products that we love and that we want to live with in our own home. It’s about that same passion. The result is an authentic and honest collection based on a natural palette with pops of colour and a focus on good, clean design at affordable prices.”
The collection will be in stores from July.
