Business booms for fashion and accessories label Holiday
a brand started two years ago by a city girl who moved to the beach for love will expand its reach across australia when it exhibits at this week’s home & giving fair.
rayna hooper – who moved to robe, south australia from sydney – launched holiday in 2010 after seeing how much customers at her homewares store loved taking a piece of their trip home.
her products include clothing, jewellery, handbags, wallets, shoes and textiles.
“the psychology of a holiday and how it affects people and the choices they make really hit home,” she says. “this is where the idea for the holiday brand was born. i wanted to design and manufacture products that gave them that sense of relaxation and contentment, but at the same time could be incorporated into everyday living. the holiday range is made up of pieces that encompass all the wonderful elements of being away, but very importantly, they can be worn as part of one’s daily routine from the boardroom to the bar.”
holiday’s success continues to grow. it won best new exhibitor stand at the 2012 fashion exposed fair while sales have increased by 300 per cent in the last year and the number of stockists has grown to more than 500.
the brand’s achievements also include a push overseas.
“we’re are about to ship our 2012 summer collection to japan which is an exciting new market for us. we are also about to launch our high summer 2012 collection into new zealand and have stores throughout the country that will showcase the range in store from november 2012.”
holiday will also release new label talisman to stores in november this year.
