Bright Wonders takes on Dutch toy brand
Bright Wonders has entered an exclusive Australian distribution agreement with Dutch company waytoplay.
waytoplay is the original flexible, durable and waterproof toy road for imaginative play indoors and out and was created by a father for his son.
It aligns seamlessly with Bright Wonders’ stable of unique and beautiful award-winning toys from European brands, explains owner Teresa Roos.
“We pride ourselves on our commitment to toys distinguished by their quality and inventiveness as well as their ongoing play value and waytoplay certainly fulfils these criteria,” she enthuses.
“Made in the Netherlands it is meticulously designed and crafted from high quality PVC that is safe, flexible, waterproof and virtually indestructible. It is the ultimate toy for open-ended play. Additionally, the brand marries beautifully with one of our other brands—Playforever, ultra-stylish toy cars designed in England.”
Indeed, Bright Wonders’ suppliers see how its portfolio and brand mix complement each other and are keen to be a part of it.
“We are in the fortunate position that we do have leading brands approach us to distribute their toys in Australia such as waytoplay. It is always a great feeling when a great brand seeks us out and asks us to import on their behalf.”
Designed to endure the test of time, waytoplay roads empower children to embark on endless adventures. As well as fostering creativity, they enhance fine motor skills, critical thinking and spatial intelligence for ages three to 12.
“We are anticipating that the brand will be very well received in Australia. We know that educators and parents alike understand the importance of imaginative open-ended play for children. Building a waytoplay toy road is about letting your imagination run wild, exploring new worlds, adapting to your environment, choosing the right combinations and learning through play,” adds Roos.
“Another key benefit of the brand is that it integrates so well with the toys that children already have in their toy box, from toys to race on the track to the multitude of things that can be used to create the landscape.”
Each waytoplay piece is carefully crafted to strict quality and safety standards by skilled specialists. It is then printed and packaged by a socially conscious enterprise, providing equitable work opportunities to those with limited access to the job market. All packaging is made from recycled or recyclable materials.
“We will launch the brand with 11 different SKUs ranging from road tracks to runways, complemented by road signs and quirky but super strong wooden cars and are excited that they are joining our award-winning portfolio of inspiring playthings, further enriching the imaginative landscape of childhood adventures.”
