Bobangles takes on more ranges
Aussie distributor Bobangles has been appointed the Australian distributor for the New Yorker range of cartoon cards, magnets, boxed cards and notepads.
“The new collection has been hugely successful for us,” says owner Catherine Shann. “In addition we took on a range called Queenie cards from Canada which is humorous and fun. They also do very well for us.”
The company also expanded its popular Pomegranate range to include jigsaw puzzles, which Shann says turned out to be a bestseller at Christmas.
“Christmas was very positive for us―we showed a positive growth over the previous Christmas and had such positive feedback from our customers, who were commenting on how perfect our product mix was.”
To make room for these new collections and additions, Bobangles moved to a brand-new modern facility in Keysborough last year which is twice the size of its previous warehouse in Highett.
“It is an absolute delight working here – lovely sun filled offices and there is so much more room in the warehouse,” enthuses Shann.
“The move actually came at a perfect time as not long after we received our first order of Scratch, a delightful range of wooden and puzzle toys for younger children. They are designed in Belgium and manufactured in China and delivered straight to us from there. It really is a gorgeous range of the highest quality.”
Bobangles launched most of the new ranges at the Reed Gift Fair in Melbourne earlier this year, which Shann says was a huge success.
“We had our largest trade fair stand ever and were very excited by the positive feedback we received. So Bobangles is certainly moving in a very positive direction.”
