BLUNT Umbrellas is launching its latest sun-smart UV series, made with an innovative canopy that showcases a 50+ ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) to block 99 per cent of harmful UV light and provide comforting, temperature reducing shade.
The new series is available in three shades―Sunset Papaya, Tropical Breeze, and Lime Sorbet―and adopts the same compact, collapsible and convenient Metro style BLUNT has become known for.
“Our UV series has been mindfully designed, to provide year-round protection from harmful cancer-causing and ageing UV rays,” says BLUNT founder, Greig Brebner.
Indeed, Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer (melanoma) in the world. Prevalent UVA radiation is the leading cause of premature ageing, while UVB radiation causes sunburn and is the major contributor to the development of melanoma.
