BeyondCool appointed Art+Cook Australian distributors
The Art+Cook range of funky yet functional kitchen gadgets is now available in Australia after BeyondCool signed on as its local distributors.
Launched at the Sydney Home & Giving Fair, Art+Cook began life as a cookbook but its creators decided to turn their attention to making kitchen gadgets more effective in terms of useability and style.
“Art+Cook has taken a generic kitchen category and done it differently, turning the ‘boring’ into ‘beautiful and interesting’,” says Teena Townsend, BeyondCool marketing and communications director.
“The Art+Cook tagline – ‘Love Food, Live Design, Dream Art’ sums it up. Art+Cook is intelligently designed must-have kitchenware. Put simply, a marriage of function to form, style to quality, innovation to inspiration – a marriage they want to celebrate with everyone.”
BeyondCool was introduced to Art+Cook through a recommendation from an existing supplier who felt it would be a good fit.
The WA based wholesaler trialled the products before signing on to supply the brand. It believes the quality and price of the range fits well in the Australian market. They are releasing about 30 items to start such as vegetable peelers, pizza wheels and garlic presses and will expand with more products and colours later this year.
“We received great feedback on the range as a whole and took many pre-orders for stock [at the gift fair]. While the quality and value of the range were the key elements for positive feedback, after inspection, handling and review of the products it was also definitely the design and style that grabbed people’s attention, particularly with some of the products which are a little different to the norm – our cage whisk was a particular hit, as were both the reversible measuring jug and the collection of wash, soak, strain and drain bowls.”
