Aussies are introducing smart technology to their homes at a growing rate
The number of internet-connected devices in Australian households has increased by 30 per cent over the past four years, according to research from Australian emerging technology analyst firm, Telsyte.
Smart home technology is now a lot more accessible, hence more Aussies are introducing smart technology into their homes at a growing rate.
Norman Levin, Brilliant Lighting managing director, says the company noted a gap in the Australian market for affordable, yet top quality smart products and launched its BrilliantSmart range.
“We know people live busy lives and are turning to smart technology for convenience and to improve their homes, but there’s no reason Aussies should have to blow their budget to get a smart home set up,” he explains.
“We’re excited to work with our channel partners to bring Australians quality, easy-to-install smart products at a fraction of the cost, making a smart home an option for people with different lifestyles and budgets.”
Benefits of smart products include an increase in home security, reduction in power bills and environmental impacts, and the ability to easily adjust the look and feel of a room―controlled from anywhere in the world.
The company’s latest range can be controlled remotely via the free BrilliantSmart app or voice command through Google or Amazon voice technology. The products also run on an open technology platform, enabling broad connectivity with other smart devices.
Levin says the range is a great entry point for anyone wanting to experiment with smart technology in their home.
“The beauty of ‘plug and play’ style products is that you don’t need a hub or complex infrastructure to get them up and running. They’re easy to install for consumers and sparkies alike, and they’re scalable so you can expand and customise your smart home over time.”
