Aussie wholesale fashion business pivots to help all retailers
When faced with unimaginable stress and unforeseen circumstances, some businesses give up while others thrive and reimagine their whole business model.
For Angela Skrinos, founder of Raglan Fashion Warehouse Sales and MelbourneSecretSales.com.au, this meant expanding her original lineup of fashion items to include anything retail.
Retail is a tough business for many brands in Australia at the moment, she says.
“Only a few months ago we all suffered from the impact of the devastating bush fires and now the retail sector has been decimated by Covid-19,” Skrinos explains.
“Retailers are falling over. They urgently need to shift their stock to stay afloat. While I have focused on fashion I am now selling all types of retail items.”
Indeed, for many years Skrinos has supported retail fashion brands by shifting their inventory, freeing up their shelf space and budgets to continually bring in new season stock for their customers. Millions of dollars worth of stock passes through her physical warehouses and online site.
With the arrival of Covid-19, she has been contacted by hundreds of businesses across the country wanting her help to move their stock. As a result, Skrinos has expanded and pivoted her business to sell a broader range of retail items at warehouse prices through her businesses.
“I’m now calling on wholesale companies and businesses across the country that need to move inventory to contact me so we can shift your items. I need more stock to clear. Please contact me. Let’s work together to get through this.”
With a social media following over 500K, and a database worth millions, Skrinos is now using her strong position to diversify their product offerings and she needs products.
“We need more items to place into our Mystery Boxes. Australians are still in need of retail therapy―we just need to give it to them in a different way.
“My message to retailers is this―don’t close. Don’t give up. We can get through this. Contact me―let me help you move your stock. Some margin is better than no margin until things pick up. We will make it to the other side of this situation,” she reiterates.
