Aussie gift fairs support bushfire victims
As we have all been watching the bushfire disaster unfold, killing millions of animals, burning down houses and destroying thousands of hectares of bush, most people feel they want to do something to help the victims in any way they can.
On behalf of the Australian gift and homewares industry, Sydney Gift Fair has announced that it will donate $2 for every visitor attending the fair in February to the rural and regional communities severely impacted by the ongoing drought and recent bushfires.
Sydney Gift Fair, organised by the Australian Gift and Homewares Association, will be donating directly to the NSW Rural Fire Service, the Australian Red Cross, the Salvation Army and Wires (wildlife rescue).
Being held at Sydney Olympic Park from 21 to 24 February 2020, the Sydney Gift Fair will also have opportunities for visitors to personally donate to this deserving and desperate cause.
Reed Gift Fairs is also supporting the bushfire victims and has donated to several organisations including NSW Rural Fire Service, Australian Red Cross, World Wildlife Fund, Port Macquarie Koala Hospital and Wires.
Exhibition director Vicki Rossi says even the smallest contribution goes a long way toward paving the path to recovery for those communities and businesses that have lost everything.
“As a business, we are currently working on co-ordinating ongoing support across all our events, more on this to come,” she says.
“We are proud to partner with Good360 across our 2020 events and encourage you to donate to their bushfire disaster recovery campaign.
“If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to #buyfromthebush and #spendwiththem.
“We hope to see you this February coming together in support of the retail industry.”
So make sure you visit the gift fair next month to find all the latest trends and newest products, and do your bit for these amazing organisations!
